Booster Roles
Lets anyone currently boosting the server create and customize their own personal role - color (including gradients), icon, and name - positioned directly under an admin-chosen anchor role.
Setup
$boosterrole overview
Also $boosterrole config, $boosterrole manage, /boosterrole overview.
First run asks for an anchor role (new booster roles are positioned directly under
this - e.g. right below your existing color/tier roles) and a max per user limit.
The panel lets you change either anytime, plus toggle the whole system on/off.
Bare $boosterrole/$br (no subcommand) shows the command list below only if
the system is actually turned on for this server - if it isn't, it just says so and points staff at
$boosterrole overview/$boosterrole config instead. It never jumps straight
into the admin panel either way, even for staff.
Booster commands
Available to anyone currently boosting the server:
$boosterrole create [name]
$boosterrole color <name/hex> [, name/hex] (or "blank" to clear)
$boosterrole icon <emoji/link> (or attach an image)
$boosterrole name <name>
$boosterrole delete
$boosterrole share <@member>
$boosterrole unshare <@member>
$boosterrole shares
$boosterrole leave
$boosterrole create names the role after you by default - give it a name straight away
with $boosterrole create <name> (e.g. $boosterrole create Seducer of Women)
to skip the separate rename step.
Sharing your role
$boosterrole share <@member> sends them a real accept/decline offer - nothing happens
until they click Accept. Once accepted they get the actual role (its real color/icon/name, and
whatever permissions it happens to carry), not a cosmetic copy - but it's never added to their own
role list, so only you can still edit, rename, delete, or re-share it.
$boosterrole unshare <@member> takes it back, $boosterrole shares lists
everyone you've currently shared it with, and $boosterrole leave is the flip side - for
the person who received it, letting them remove a shared role from themselves without needing to ask
the owner. Role sharing is on by default; an admin can turn it off server-wide from
$boosterrole overview (existing shares aren't revoked retroactively - it only blocks new
ones). There's also a Delete Role On Unboost toggle in that same panel (off by
default) - when on, a booster's role is deleted automatically the moment they stop boosting.
Color & gradients
Give a hex code or a named color ("dark red", "light blue" - whatever's close enough, no need to
memorize hex) for a solid color, or two (comma-separated, e.g. dark red, light blue, or the
older ff69b4 5865f2 two-token form) for a real gradient role (Discord's newer role-color
feature): $boosterrole color <name/hex> [, name/hex]. Use
$boosterrole color blank to clear it back to no color.
Gradients need the server itself to be boosted to Level 2+ - another Discord requirement, not a Pixie one. A single color (solid) works at any boost level.
Icons
Accepts any of the following:
- An attached image
- A plain unicode emoji, e.g.
🔥 - A custom server emoji
- A direct image link
Role icons need Boost Level 2 on the server - this is a Discord requirement, not a Pixie one.
Staff: linking an existing role
$boosterrole link <role> <@member>
$boosterrole unlink <role>
$boosterrole list <@member> (aliases: listroles, roles)
link registers an existing role - one made by hand outside the bot, not via
$boosterrole create - as a member's booster role, so it becomes manageable with
color/icon/name/delete, counts toward their per-user cap, and gets cleaned up on unboost exactly
like a bot-created one. unlink undoes that (removes it from tracking without deleting
the real role) - the role itself, and whoever currently has it, are untouched either way.
list shows everything currently registered as a given member's booster role(s),
whether created via the bot or linked in by hand.
If a booster has more than one role
Only possible when an admin sets Max Per User above 1. When it applies,
color/icon/name/delete show a picker to choose
which role to act on first - with the default limit of 1, they act directly with no extra step.
